The week that was. So which of these stories shocked you least? Mayor de Blasio going to the gym instead of the new 9/11 Memorial? Jeopardy’s James Holzhauer winning again? Veterans walking out on Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez after her latest tirade? Or that the fix was in on Jussie Smollett’s dramatic escape from the law? Superfecta paid $5.

Brewers are in the Steel City this weekend. Zach Davies replaces Gio Gonzalez (tired arm) for Milwaukee. Davies (5-0, 2.19) threw six scoreless innings against Minnesota’s high-octane lineup last week. No easy task. Pirates’ Jordan Lyles allowed the Reds to score three times in his last start then left after complaining of hamstring discomfort. Rough week has left us with tired arm and hamstring discomfort, but 20 units on the Brewers should make things better.

First pitch 7:15 p.m. Last pitch 1:57 a.m. Took over six hours for the Cards to beat the Cubs, 7-4. Tied at 2-2, St. Louis scored five runs after a lengthy rain delay. Heading to bed a loser, at -266 hickmans.
