After having great success with the Gulf Coast League Yankees during the first part of his rehab from a torn Lisfranc ligament in his right foot, Yankees reliever Brian Bruney struggled in his debut with Trenton Saturday. Bruney allowed two runs (one earned), giving one hit while striking out two and walking two in taking the loss for the Thunder against the Binghamton Mets.

Bruney has been out of action with the Yankees since April 22, when he suffered the injury against the Chicago White Sox.
