That’s one expensive ankle.

The Phillies’ new $330 million outfielder Bryce Harper was hit in his ankle with a 96-mph fastball in the sixth inning of a spring training game against the Blue Jays on Friday.

Harper stayed on the ground for a few moments, was checked by a trainer and limped off and out of the game in the sixth inning. Harper walked gingerly back to the dugout and then the clubhouse a bit later, likely for X-rays, as the Phillies hold their breath, hoping it is nothing serious.

According to NBC Sports, Harper shouted some words at Toronto pitcher Trent Thornton as he got off the ground.

This was Harper’s fourth Grapefruit League game for the Phillies.
