At long last, Phillies fans have reason to cheer Bryce Harper.

The wrath of Citizens Bank Park no longer a fear, Harper launched his first grand slam as a Phillie while visiting the St. Louis Cardinals on Tuesday night.

Before the road trip that began Monday, the $330 million man had become an enemy within his own ballpark, boos raining down with every failed at-bat. Harper was slashing .226/.364/.452 before his sixth dinger Tuesday, including a .183 average at home.

It got so bad that Harper took his first at-bat Tuesday without wearing gloves. That didn’t work, so he put them back on… and voila. Now, just 13 more years to go.
