Backup catcher Ramon Castro, sidelined since the last week of spring training by a strained hamstring, was brought of the DL today. Raul Casanova was designate for assignment to make room for Castro. Casanova was hitting .283 in 12 appearances with one homer and six RBIs in place of Castro behind starter Brian Schneider.
