At 39 years old and with six All-Star honors under his belt, CC Sabathia is a star on the rise again.

On Wednesday, Sabathia made his stage debut in a one-night-only cameo in the off-Broadway production of “Rock of Ages” during a “Yankees Night” at New World Stages. The collaborative show was in benefit of the Carlos Beltran Foundation and included a special curtain call dedicated by current and former Yankees players.

Sabathia took the stage in the musical’s 10th anniversary production just a few days after getting placed on the IL with knee inflammation. Yankees manager Aaron Boone is hopeful that Sabathia won’t be sidelined for long.
