The Yankees may have plenty of opportunities to see Chad Green in coming seasons, just not in their uniform.
Green, according to reports, reached agreement Tuesday on a two-year deal worth $8.5 million that will keep him in the AL East with the Blue Jays. The contract also reportedly includes options for 2025 and 2026. The deal was first reported by Shi Davidi of Sportsnet.

Righty reliever Chad Green is leaving the Yankees for the Blue Jays in free agency. Getty ImagesGreen, 31, underwent Tommy John surgery last June after appearing in 14 games for the Yankees, in which he posted a 3.00 ERA and 1.20 WHIP.
Over seven seasons with the club, he appeared in 272 games — 24 in a starting role — and went 33-22 with a 3.17 ERA and 11 saves.

Green likely won’t be a candidate for the Blue Jays’ bullpen until later in the season as he rehabs from the elbow surgery. The Toronto bullpen includes names such as Jordan Romano, Yimi Garcia, Erik Swanson and Anthony Bass.
