A Japanese high school baseball player’s flare may not be taken kindly to by opposing pitchers, but makes his time in the batter’s box a must watch.
The hitter approaches the plate, jumps up and down and then violently stretches his shoulders with his bat standing up in front of him. He picks it up and starts flipping and spinning it in the air and around his body like a baton twirler. The jumping, bending and vigorous twirling continues after every pitch along with other gyrations in and out of the batter’s box.
