Ryan Church learned after tonight’s 3-0 win over the Marlins that team doctors have cleared him to resume baseball activities, and the right fielder will get started right away by reporting to Florida for workouts this weekend.

Church expects to make his first minor-league rehab game appearance in St. Lucie sometime in the next week or so, and he could rejoin the Mets by the time they return home from a road trip Aug. 19.

Church has been on the DL since July 6 with post-concussion syndrome, and there were concerns that his season might be over as he battled symptoms over the past month.

But a battery of tests in Manhattan on Thursday that lasted nearly four hours determined that Church is virtually back to normal, and the migraine headaches that prompted the DL trip have gone away.
