ATLANTA – Met right fielder and RBI leader Ryan Church was taken to a local hospital here last night after suffering a mild concussion on the final play of their 6-2 loss to the Braves in Game 2.

Church, who also endured a concussion in spring training, took a knee to the head from shortstop Yunel Escobar while sliding into second. Church was bleeding from a forehead scrape afterward, and the Mets didn’t know last night how long he would be out.
