PHOENIX — Dillon Gee remains on track to take his next turn in the Mets’ rotation.

Manager Terry Collins had been toying with skipping Gee in the new six-man rotation because of an off-day next week, but Thursday said the right-hander “probably” will pitch on cue.

That would mean giving Gee the start against the Giants on Wednesday at Citi Field.

In his return from the disabled list, Gee allowed seven runs, three of which were unearned, over four-plus innings Wednesday in San Diego.

With Gee remaining in the rotation, Matt Harvey, the winning pitcher in Thursday’s 6-2 victory over the Diamondbacks, would pitch on six days’ rest against the Braves next week.

Michael Cuddyer returned to the starting lineup after missing Wednesday’s game with a stiff neck and went 1-for-5. Curtis Granderson started the game on the bench to get John Mayberry Jr. at-bats against Diamondbacks lefty Robbie Ray. Mayberry went 4-for-5 and blasted a two-run homer in the ninth inning.

Collins chatted before the game with Arizona manager Chip Hale, who was the Mets’ third-base coach in Collins’ first season at the helm.

“People that eat, drink and sleep baseball are fun to be around, and Chip is one of those guys,” Collins said. “He is a tremendous worker. Not a phase goes by that he doesn’t check it out. His attention to detail is outstanding. I’m excited for him. We plan on kicking his [butt] for the next couple of days.”

The Mets’ bullpen hasn’t allowed a run in 13 innings, dating to May 31.

Top pitching prospect Steven Matz is scheduled to pitch Friday for Triple-A Las Vegas. The stud lefty is 6-3 with a 1.98 ERA this season.
