CORDERO CONTRACT BREAKDOWN
Here is the contract breakdown that Chad Cordero signed with the Mariners:
He will receive $750,000 if he reaches the majors. Plus he can earn $100,000 for finishing 20 games and 25 games; $125,000 for finishing 30 and 35 games; $175,000 for finishing 40 and 45 games; and $200,000 for finishing $500,000 games.
In addition, he could earn $50,000 for being an All-Star or $25,000 for being selected. Also, $150,000 for winning the MVP, $200,000 for winning the Cy Young or Rolaids relief award, $100,000 for being the World Series MVP, $50,000 for being either the LCS MVP or Gold Glove.
If Cordero is not put on the 25-man roster by June 15, he can request his release.
