It could be another newsy day for the Mets as they open a four-game series at home against the Giants. Word is supposed to come down on Livan Hernandez likely losing his spot in the rotation and Carlos Beltran‘s already-slim chances of coming back this season.

The Mets are allowing the new United Football League to hold a game at Citi Field on Nov. 4.

In the notes, this weekend’s games will have significance — for the Giants, at least.
