Oh, the irony if Pedro — who wanted so badly to come back — is the one to finish off the Mets’ season, and on ESPN no less.

In the notes, David Wright belatedly found his home-run stroke again in Saturday’s 10-9 comeback win, connecting twice in back-to-back at bats in the eighth and ninth innings. It was his first two-homer game since last season.
