Oliver Perezteased the Mets again Wednesday night, allowing just one run on three hits in six innings of an eventual 7-2 win over the Padres at Citi Field. Let’s just say it was a lot different than the Ollie we witnessed in spring training and last week in Cincinnati. Colleague Jay Greenberg liked what he saw from Perez but, like everyone else, wonders if the erratic left-hander can keep it up.

In the notes, it looks as if the Mets might make Mike Pelfreymiss at least one start due to forearm tendinitis.
