ATLANTA — The 10-13 Mets open a two-game series here tonight against the Braves after Sunday’s rainout in Philadelphia, but the bulk of their attention right now is centered on Oliver Perez and what to do with the struggling left-hander. Colleague Kevin Kernan spoke with Gary Sheffield and Alex Cora (you know, the guys Omar Minaya claimed brought an “edge” to his team), and the two veterans said part of the Mets’ problem is that they’re a little too comfortable.

In the notes, the Mets don’t expect Johan Santana to be affected by having his start this week pushed back by the rainout, even though Santana was not always his best with extra rest last year.
