WASHINGTON — Something finally went right for the injury-mangled Mets here Friday night as David Wright‘s double in the 10th inning paved the way for a 3-1 win over the pitiful Nationals that snapped a three-game losing streak. Who says Wright can’t come up with a clutch hit? As for all of those injuries, the Mets got some resolution Friday on surgery-bound reliever J.J. Putz but say they remain in the dark on Jose Reyes‘ expected return.

In the notes, top prospect Fernando Martinezappears likely to stick around a little longer, even after Ryan Church comes off the DL tomorrow.
