Coverage in today’s Post
Now that the Willie Randolph soap opera is in their rear-view mirror, the Mets are looking relaxed and confident these days. They’re also back to .500 for the first time in two weeks after Friday night’s 7-2 throttling of the Rockies in Denver. The Amazin’s have won five of their past seven games and are 2-1 under interim boss Jerry Manuel. In the notebook, Manuel continued to deflect accusations from Randolph — relayed to The Post through friends — that he conspired with Mets VP Tony Bernazard to take Randolph’s job. There are also items about Ryan Church, Manny Acta and Moises Alou.
And if you want to know more about new pitching coach Dan Warthen, here is a profile.
