Another quick turnaround for the Mets, who look to complete a sweep of the NL East-rival Marlins this afternoon at Shea after key contributions from rookie outfielder Daniel Murphy (pictured) and spot starter Brian Stokes paved the way for an 8-6 win Saturday night. Colleague Kevin Kernan has more on Murphy’s instant impact on the Mets after being called up from Triple-A New Orleans last week.

Murphy isn’t the only Met with a hot bat. Center fielder Carlos Beltran also is tearing it up after a 3-for-3 night Saturday that included his first homer in nearly a month.

In the notebook, Aaron Heilman appears to have assumed the closer role during Billy Wagner’s absence this month after picking up his second consecutive save. There are also items on Luis Castillo and Ryan Church.
