Who’s next?

With Manny Machado and Bryce Harper finally off the board, attention will now turn to the free agents who are still left in the class. That list is topped by former Astros Cy Young winner Dallas Keuchel and veteran closer Craig Kimbrel.

The Phillies have been linked to both pitchers, but their interest is unclear after they signed Harper to a 13-year, $330 million deal on Thursday. The Braves, however, could become interested after arm worries for starters Mike Foltynewicz and Kevin Gausman.

The defending NL East champs have had a quiet offseason as the Phillies and Mets have retooled around them. The Nationals lost Harper, but signed Patrick Corbin to beef up their staff that is topped by Max Scherzer and Stephen Strasburg.

So far, Foltynewicz’s sore elbow and Gausman’s sore shoulder are considered minor setbacks.

“It’s early camp. I’m sure everybody goes through that. That’s why you need a lot of ’em,” Braves manager Brian Snitker said.
