In the top of the sixth inning of Tuesday’s AL wild-card game, Yankees catcher Gary Sanchez took a brutal shot to the groin on a foul ball off the bat of Minnesota’s Brian Dozier.

From the mound, David Robertson had a perfect view of the incident, and reacted appropriately.

The pitcher immediately put his glove over his agape mouth and keeled over, as if he too was feeling Sanchez’s pain.

It summed up the unfortunate circumstance perfectly.
