PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. — Ike Davis and Lucas Duda each hit home runs as the New York Mets’ tied the St. Louis Cardinals 6-6 in 10 innings Saturday.

It was the first homer for Davis, who was diagnosed earlier in spring training with what is likely valley fever, which can cause extreme fatigue. Davis hit a three-run shot off Lance Lynn in the first.

Cardinals center fielder John Jay and third baseman Daniel Descalso each had two-run hits off Mets starter Mike Pelfrey in the third inning.

Pelfrey allowed five runs — four earned — and eight hits in six innings. It was the fourth consecutive start in which the right-hander has given up at least four runs.
