There’s no game for the Mets today, as they’re off. This morning, though, John Maine, Billy Wagner and Aaron Heilman all threw in a simulated game at Tradition Field

Maine tossed six innings, while Wagner went three.

“It was two innings originally,” Wagner said, “but I wanted to go out there and to kind of push myself a little bit farther.” *****

The Mets play again tomorrow night against the Orioles at home, with Mike Pelfrey slated to pitch.

My NCAA tournament bracket is a little shaky now. I’ve still got my champion alive (Ohio State, barely) and my runner-up (UCLA), but my other two Final Four picks (Wisconsin and Texas) are out. I think the only time I’ve won my tourney pool was when Maryland won it all in 2001 or 2002.
