Derek Jeter is still finding his way as an analyst for Fox Sports.

During the pregame show before Game 5 of the Astros-Rangers American League Championship Series on Friday, David Ortiz embraced the Texas showdown and handed out cowboy hats to his colleagues on the set: Jeter, former Yankees third baseman Alex Rodriguez and host Kevin Burkhardt.

Said Ortiz to Jeter, “Your head is shining too much.”

Rodriguez went along with the bit, calling Ortiz the “Dominican Garth Brooks.”

However Jeter refused to put on the hat.

“New Yorkers don’t wear these. New Yorkers don’t do this,” the five-time World Series champion said.

But that didn’t stop Ortiz, a fellow Hall of Famer and former blood rival, from having fun, saying Burkhardt “looks like that guy from ‘Toy Story.'”

Burkhardt embraced being compared to Woody, which had Ortiz in stitches.

Jeter tried to get back in on the fun, saying the Woody comparison is “actually pretty good.”

The 14-time All-Star seems to have great chemistry with Ortiz, his long-time foe from the Boston Red Sox.

However the sparks don’t appear to be flying between Jeter and Rodriguez, the one-time teammates whose off-the-field squabbles have been well-documented.

As for the game itself, the Astros rallied for a 5-4 win thanks to a ninth-inning Jose Altuve home run which moved Houston to within one win of returning to the World Series.

Game 6 is Sunday in Houston.
