Mets fans looking to deliver the Wilpons another type of bailout can do it through a newly created GoFundMe account.

Die-hard Mets fan Etan Bednarsh setup a page entitled “Let’s Get the Mets a Hitter!” on July 22. It asks those who bleed orange and blue in a short video to donate money to raise $3 million to help the Mets cash-strapped owners afford a much-needed bat for team’s historically awful order. Bednarsh says any money donated is going to the Mets.

The baseball trade deadline is July 31. There was $315 pledged to the cause as of early Friday morning.

Amazin’ fans are even given suggested donations from $5-50,000 with the amounts corresponding to the type of hitter they would like to acquire for the playoff push. The categories range from John Mayberry Jr. to Daniel Murphy.

The $5 donation or Mayberry Level buys you a hope of seeing a better lineup. Throw in $500 for a Cuddyer Level bat and “help us drive in runs in scoring position.”

The Mets, who sit three games behind the Nationals for first place in the NL East, fielded a lineup Thursday night that had Mayberry Jr., who is now hitting .165, batting cleanup and Eric Campbell (.176) in the No. 5 hole.

The team is hitting a major league-worst .233, and general manager Sandy Alderson waffling comments before the Mets’ 3-0 loss to the Dodgers didn’t leave fans feeling any better that imminent help is on the way.
