The Yankees’ 40-man roster cleanup is underway, beginning with the likely end of Domingo German’s time with the organization.

The club placed German on outright waivers Thursday, along with Matt Bowman, Franchy Cordero, Jimmy Cordero, Billy McKinney and Ryan Weber, The Post’s Joel Sherman reported.

If they go unclaimed — any claims will be announced by Monday — they are expected to be outrighted to the minor leagues, at which point they can elect free agency.

German, who had one year left of team control, is just over four months removed from throwing a perfect game.

But he was placed on the restricted list on Aug. 2 to seek treatment for alcohol abuse following a clubhouse incident at Yankee Stadium.

The right-hander previously served an 81-game suspension for violating the league’s domestic violence policy.

All six of the players placed on outright waivers were non-tender candidates, but the Yankees got a jump-start on moving them off the 40-man roster as the offseason kicked into gear Thursday after the conclusion of the World Series on Wednesday.
