Mayor Bloomberg took the final step Tuesday to authorize the naming of a street outside Yankee Stadium for retired Bombers relief ace Mariano Rivera.
The mayor signed the law to add the Sandman’s name to one block of The Bronx’s River Avenue.
Last week, when the measure passed the City Council, Rivera told The Post, which campaigned for the renaming, “I have a lot of great memories driving down that street.
“My family and I are extremely grateful for this.”
