With the return of Ryan Church to the disabled list, the Mets recalled 1B/OF Nick Evans from Double-A Binghamton today. After struggling in his first appearance in the majors, Evans has gone back to Binghamton and thrived, going 14-for-41 at the plate, clubbing two homers and driving in seven runs. Evans didn’t play in tonight’s game against the Giants.
