Updating an earlier post, the Mets have sent the badly slumping Nick Evans to extended spring training in Florida from Triple-A Buffalo, where he was hitting .093 with 27 strikeouts. Evans will spend a week or so in Port St. Lucie, then head to Double-A Binghamton.
