PORT ST. LUCIE — Jose Reyes‘ arrival in camp has been delayed a day after Reyes’ wife gave birth to their third child, a girl, on Saturday in the Dominican Republic. Reyes is now expected in tomorrow, when Jerry Manuel plans to give him the news about a planned drop to No. 3 in the order (assuming Reyes hasn’t heard about it already from all of the headlines over the weekend). We’re still waiting on Luis Castillo, too. The Mets’ potential new leadoff hitter also has been working out in the Dominican and is likely to show up around here in the next 24 hours, according to the Mets.
