No one pitched more games for the Mets – or anyone else – over the past three seasons than Pedro Feliciano, but the durable lefty may now be headed elsewhere.

Feliciano declined the Mets offer of salary arbitration, according to his agent, Melvin Roman, meaning he is a free agent. Unlike in Hisanori Takahashi’s case, however, the Mets can still negotiate with Feliciano.

The 34-year-old made $2.9 million a year ago, when he led the league in appearances for the third straight season and he is now likely looking for a multi-year deal.

If Feliciano does opt to go elsewhere, it will leave them without a lefthander in the bullpen and would give new GM Sandy Alderson another hole to fill.
