After briefly flirting with free agency, right-hander Nelson Figueroa has re-signed with the Mets via a minor-league deal and will report back to Triple-A Buffalo. Upset at being called up for just one day last weekend, Figueroa had originally refused the Mets’ assignment to Buffalo before discovering there was no interest in him from other clubs.
