The Mets won’t make it official until after today’s game, but a team source said right-hander Nelson Figueroa will be called up from Triple-A Buffalo to start Monday night’s series finale against the Diamondbacks.

Jerry Manuel plans to promote Figueroa for one start because he doesn’t want Johan Santana or Jonathon Niese pitching on three days’ rest after they started the two ends of last Thursday’s doubleheader with the Rockies.
