The top two infield prospects in the Mets farm system, Wilmer Flores and Jefry Marte, are the highest-profile (and youngest) players on the Opening Day roster for the Amazin’s Low-A affiliate, the Savannah Sand Gnats. Flores, a 17-year-old shortstop, is the No. 2 rated prospect in the Mets system, according to Baseball America, while Marte, another 17-year-old and third baseman, is ranked No. 6 by BA.

Other notable players on the roster include second baseman Josh Satin, who was a sixth-round selection in last year’s draft, and Elvin Ramirez, a right-hander who enters the season ranked No. 26 by BA.
