Bobby Valentine is in demand again.
After one disastrous season managing the Red Sox, the former Mets skipper may take an unexpected career turn. He is a candidate to become the new athletic director at Sacred Heart University, according to the Connecticut Post.
Valentine, a Stamford native, visited the campus in Fairfield two weeks ago, according to a source.
The 62-year-old was fired by the Red Sox on Oct. 4. He spent the previous two years working as an analyst for ESPN.
