(UPDATED: 7:40 P.M.)Livan Hernandez goes for his third straight win and eighth of the season tonight when the Mets open a four-game series with the Diamondbacks at Citi Field.

Hernandez was in danger of losing his rotation spot after a four-game losing streak going into the All-Star break, but the journeyman right-hander has bounced back to allow just five earned runs in 14 innings since the second half started.

Hernandez, who is 10-6 with a 3.54 ERA in 18 career starts against Arizona, will take on hard-luck Doug Davis. The Diamondbacks’ veteran righty is just 5-10 despite a respectable 3.76 ERA this season. Here is the 49-52 Mets’ order for the 7:10 p.m. game:
