SAN DIEGO — The Mets hope to snap a six-game losing streak at Petco Park that dates to 2007 here tonight when Oliver Perez takes the mound against the last-place Padres.
Perez is 1-1 with three no-decisions since coming off the disabled list July 8, including a five-inning no decision last week against the Diamondbacks at Citi Field that was typical Ollie: five walks and seven strikeouts in 112 pitches.
Perez, who is 2-3 with a 4.55 ERA in six career starts against his former team, will take on Kevin Correia. The right-hander is 7-9 with a 4.73 ERA this season. Here is the 51-57 Mets’ order for the 10:05 p.m. game:
