After nearly having his rotation spot taken away for the second time in less than six weeks, Livan Hernandez will try to redeem himself tonight when he takes on the Giants in the series finale at Citi Field.

Hernandez, who got off to a 5-1 start, has dropped six of his past eight decisions and is 0-2 with a 12.00 ERA in his past two starts. He is 4-5 with a 3.65 ERA in 16 career starts against San Francisco, a figure that includes two complete games.

Hernandez will take on right-hander Joe Martinez, a rookie who is making just his third major-league starts. Martinez comes in 2-1 with a 6.00 ERA. Here is the 55-62 Mets’ order for the 7:10 p.m.:
