MIAMI — Amid all the off-field injury and trade chaos, the Mets still have a game to play here tonight as they open a three-game series with the Marlins at newly renamed Land Shark Stadium.

Johan Santana was supposed to start this evening until elbow surgery ended his season, so the Mets will go with journeyman right-hander Nelson Figueroa from the bullpen instead.

Figueroa, who is 1-1 with a 4.60 ERA in six career appearances against Florida (including two starts), will take on Sean West. The lefty is 4-5 with a 4.70 ERA for the Marlins, who are still in the wild-card race. Here is the 57-68 Mets’ order for the 7:10 p.m. game:
