Mike Pelfrey (pictured) goes for his staff-leading 12th victory tonight when the surging Mets take on the Braves in the second game of a three-game NL East series at Shea Stadium. Pelfrey has dropped two of his past four starts but is coming off a strong outing last Friday in Pittsburgh, when he threw seven scoreless innings in an eventual 2-1 win. The big right-hander is 0-2 in two starts against the Braves this season.

As far as the lineup, Jerry Manuel is shuffling it a bit with the Mets facing a righty. That means starts for switch-hitter Argenis Reyes and lefty hitters Daniel Murphy and Brian Schneider.

The 69-57 Mets’ overall order is as follows:

Jose Reyes SS

Argenis Reyes 2B

David Wright 3B

Carlos Delgado 1B

Carlos Beltran CF

Daniel Murphy LF

Fernando Tatis RF

Brian Schneider C

Mike Pelfrey RHP (11-8, 3.91)

The 56-70 Braves, who are 13 games out in the NL East, will go with this lineup:

Gregor Blanco LF

Yunel Escobar SS

Chipper Jones 3B

Brian McCann C

Mark Kotsay CF

Greg Norton 1B

Jeff Francoeur RF

Kelly Johnson 2B

Jair Jurrjens RHP (11-8, 3.51)

Game time: 7:10 p.m.

TV-radio: SNY, WFAN.
