DENVER — David Wright makes his first post-concussion game appearance here tonight when the Mets open a three-game series with the Rockies behind Mike Pelfrey at Coors Field.

Wright has been on the disabled list since Aug. 16 after getting beaned by a 94 mph fastball from the Giants’ Matt Cain at Citi Field. Wright will be wearing a new helmet from Rawlings with extra cushion upon his return.

Wright will be hitting third in support of Pelfrey, who is looking to bounce back after giving up five runs on 11 hits and five walks in just 5 2/3 innings last week at Florida. Pelfrey, who is 3-1 with a 2.35 ERA in four career starts against the Rockies, will face Jorge De La Rosa. The Colorado left-hander is 12-9 with a 4.72 ERA this season.

Here is the 59-72 Mets’ order for the 8:40 p.m. game:

Angel Pagan CF

Luis Castillo 2B

David Wright 3B

Jeff Francoeur RF

Fernando Tatis 1B

Nick Evans LF

Omir Santos C

Anderson Hernandez SS

Mike Pelfrey RHP (9-9, 4.80)
