Game 136: Cubs at Mets
The Mets will be trying to extend their winning streak to three this afternoon when journeyman Nelson Figueroa takes on the Cubs at Citi Field in the second game of a three-game series.
Figueroa is making his fifth start of the season and is coming off his best outing of the year last Sunday at Wrigley Field, where the right-hander struck out a career-high 10 while allowing just one run and six hits over seven innings of a Met victory.
Figueroa, who is 0-2 with a 10.79 ERA at home this season, will take on Rich Harden. The veteran righty has been a disappointment this season, posting an 8-8 record and 4.19 ERA.
Here is the 61-74 Mets’ order for the 1:10 p.m. game:
Angel Pagan CF
Luis Castillo 2B
David Wright 3B
Daniel Murphy 1B
Jeff Francoeur RF
Cory Sullivan LF
Josh Thole C
Anderson Hernandez SS
Nelson Figueroa RHP (2-3, 4.50)
