Game 141: Mets at Phillies
PHILADELPHIA — The Mets will try to snap a three-game skid and throw a wrench into the Phillies’ division-title hopes here tonight when Nelson Figueroa takes the mound at rainy Citizens Bank Park.
The Mets are coming a home sweep at the hands of the Marlins and are counting on Figueroa to help them right the ship. The journeyman right-hander is 1-2 since rejoining the rotation on a full-time basis late last month.
Figueroa, who is 0-0 with a 2.84 ERA in four career appearances against the Phillies (all in relief), will face off against Cole Hamels. The Philadelphia ace is just 8-9 with a 4.32 ERA this season after winning World Series MVP honors last year.
Here is the 62-78 Mets’ order for the 7:10 p.m. game:
Angel Pagan CF
Luis Castillo 2B
David Wright 3B
Jeff Francoeur RF
Fernando Tatis 1B
Nick Evans LF
