PHILADELPHIA — The Mets will try to snap a four-game losing streak here this afternoon on national TV when Mike Pelfrey goes to the hill against the Phillies at Citizens Bank Park.

Pelfrey hopes to pick up where he left off in his last outing, when he allowed just one run on five hits in a season-high eight innings Sept. 6 at Citi Field in a 4-2 win over the Cubs. It was just Pelfrey’s second win in his previous seven starts.

Pelfrey, who is 4-2 with a 3.88 ERA in eight career appearances against the Phillies, will be facing Jamie Moyer. The ageless Phillies left-hander, who is back in the rotation after a recent bullpen banishment, is 12-9 with a 4.98 ERA this season.
