The Mets will try to snap a six-game losing streak today when ex-National Tim Redding takes on his former team at Citi Field.
Redding will be making his seventh start since moving back into the rotation following the release of Livan Hernandez, who went on to sign with Washington.
Redding, who is 2-0 with a 2.37 ERA in four appearances (three starts) against his old club, will take on Mets nemesis John Lannan. The Long Island native has dominated his hometown club this season and is 9-11 with a 4.08 ERA overall in 2009.
Here is the 63-85 Mets’ order for the 1:10 p.m. game:
Angel Pagan CF
Luis Castillo 2B
David Wright 3B
Jeff Francoeur RF
Fernando Tatis LF
Daniel Murphy 1B
Wilson Valdez SS
Josh Thole C
Tim Redding RHP (2-6, 5.52)
