The Mets will try to avoid both a Citi Field sweep and their eighth loss in a row at the hands of the Braves tonight when Mike Pelfrey goes to the mound.

Pelfrey has been a huge disappointment the second half of the season and will be in search of just his second win since Aug. 21. He has allowed 12 earned runs on 18 hits and a walk in his past two starts (13 innings).

Pelfrey, who is 2-4 with a 6.29 ERA in nine career games (eight starts) against the Braves, will face Tim Hudson. The Atlanta right-hander is 1-1 with a 3.70 ERA this season.
