WASHINGTON — Mike Pelfrey will try to end his disappointing season on a bright note here tonight when he takes on the Nationals at Nationals Park in his final start of the year.

Pelfrey has lost four of his past five decisions to fall two games under .500, and his 5.08 ERA is a major concern for the Mets going into next season.

Pelrey, who is 3-5 with a 3.93 ERA in 11 career starts against Washington, will face off against J.D. Martin. The Nationals right-hander is 5-4 with a 4.71 ERA this season.
