ATLANTA — Suddenly showing some signs of life, the Mets will try to complete a sweep of their two-game set here with the Braves tonight when Livan Hernandez takes the mound at Turner Field. This is a terrible matchup for the Mets, considering Hernandez is 3-15 with a 5.52 ERA in 25 career games against Atlanta. That includes a 1-7 mark and 5.72 ERA in 12 career starts at Turner Field.

Hernandez will face off against Braves right-hander Kenshin Kawakami, a Japanese import in his first major-league season. Kawakami has been roughed up in his U.S. debut, dropping three of his first four decisions.
