Game 5: Mets at Marlins
MIAMI — The Mets look to bounce back from Friday night’s walk-off loss and snap a two-game skid overall when Livan Hernandez makes his debut as the fifth starter here tonight against the unbeaten Marlins. Hernandez, who won a World Series MVP award with Florida in 1997, is 12-7 with a 3.39 career ERA against his former team. He is 19-19 with a career 3.86 ERA at Dolphin Stadium.
Hernandez will be opposed by right-hander Ricky Nolasco, whom the Mets have had some success against in his brief career. Nolasco is 2-5 with a 6.27 ERA vs. the Amazin’s, including 1-2 last season.
