Game 63: Mets at Orioles
(UPDATED) BALTIMORE — After Tuesday’s unexpected late-inning scare, the Mets are hoping for a little smoother ride here tonight when Tim Redding faces the last-place Orioles in interleague play at Camden Yards. After a rough start in his first season as a Met, Redding has allowed just four earned runs in 13 innings over his past two starts. Unfortunately, the Mets are just 1-4 in Redding’s five starts in place of Oliver Perez.
Redding has faced Baltimore just once in his career, allowing four runs in four innings of a 2003 start with the Astros.
Redding will take on 34-year-old Japanese right-hander Koji Uehara, who has stumbled out of the gate in his first season in the big leagues. The Orioles are 1-4 in Uehara’s five starts at Camden Yards.
